Biography

I am a graduate student in Computing and Information Systems at Youngstown State University with a strong interest in research that bridges data analytics, artificial intelligence, and systems design. My academic foundation in Electronics and Communication Engineering, combined with hands-on experience in software development and data analysis, has shaped my drive to apply computational methods to solve real-world problems. As a Teaching Assistant for Operating Systems, I’ve strengthened my understanding of system-level programming and guided peers in exploring memory management, process scheduling, and concurrency. My internship at New Vision Behavioral Health Services allowed me to leverage data visualization and automation tools like Power BI to derive insights that improved operational efficiency and decision-making. My previous research includes developing an IoT-based Smart Cradle System for infant safety, a Network Management System for secure data transmission, and an Emotion Recognition model using speech features. These experiences reflect my enthusiasm for interdisciplinary problem-solving and innovation through data-driven technologies. Through SRP NAIRR 2025, I hope to contribute to impactful research while enhancing my expertise in computational modeling and AI-driven analysis that can drive meaningful advancements in both academia and industry.

Relevant Coursework

I have completed advanced coursework in Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks, which provided a strong foundation in computational problem-solving and system-level programming. Additionally, courses in Data Analytics, Python Programming, and Software Engineering have strengthened my analytical and coding skills, enabling me to manage datasets, automate processes, and build data-driven solutions. My hands-on work as a Teaching Assistant for Operating Systems deepened my understanding of process management and memory systems, while research projects like the Smart Cradle System (IoT-based automation) and Emotion Recognition using Speech enhanced my ability to apply theory to real-world challenges. These experiences collectively prepare me to contribute effectively to research involving AI, data science, and computational modeling under the SRP NAIRR program.

Publications & Research Projects

I have conducted multiple technical and research-oriented projects during my undergraduate and graduate studies. My work on the Smart Cradle System—an IoT-enabled infant safety device integrating temperature, motion, and sound sensors—was presented at an IEEE conference in India. Reference: IEEE Conference Presentation – Smart Cradle System (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, 2023) I also developed a Network Management System using Cisco Packet Tracer to simulate and optimize secure data transmission across hospital departments, and an Emotion Recognition System utilizing speech signal analysis to detect emotional states with 75% accuracy. At Youngstown State University, I have expanded my research exposure through course projects and independent studies involving data analytics, system design, and automation. Additionally, as a Teaching Assistant for Operating Systems, I have contributed to curriculum development and practical lab enhancements focused on process scheduling and memory management.
