Biography

A rising AI researcher with a passion for machine learning, data engineering, and data science. Finishing my undergraduate studies, now approaching my graduate studies in computational science and engineering, I want to apply my knowledge to make a real impact. Having hands-on experience applying LLMs and participating in 4 research initiatives that is ML-based my passion stems from pursuing a career where I can help innovate and design.

Academic Preparation

Software Engineering, Big Data Computing and Numerical analysis are some of the relevant courses I have taken in preparation. I took a variety of self-study courses in regard to AI like Large-Langue models, recommendation systems, and neural networks to give myself a deepen expertise.

Research/Publications

I have conducted one research initiative with a professor located in Texas A&M university corpus Christi in regard to applying machine learning and deep learning for water level forecasting on the shores of Huston. I have also done two research initiatives within my university led by professors in regard to using neural networks to solve minimization problems and building recommendation systems for people with phenylketonuria (PKU).

Research/Academic Interests

My research and academic interests stems from being able to apply AI so that innovation or design can help make a positive change. I really enjoy the application of machine learning and deep learning. The ability to leverage the computational aspect is what excites me the most because their something joyful about the ability to understand what's going on under the hood when developing solutions for problems.

Computational and Data Science Areas

Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems

Motivation

Applying for college, the only thing I had in mind was becoming an engineer. I took into no consideration on the type of engineering, weather it was mechanical, chemical, or electrical. I just wanted to do something where I can apply and solve, leading me down to the path of computational science and engineering. It wasn't until sometime in my junior year, I realized that I don't just want to be an engineer but be in the frontlines of innovation. An opportunity to get connected with researchers and leaders who's currently living in it is something very valuable because it would help me refine my path to one of the leading fields of design which is AI and offer opportunities outside to grow. I really hope that this program will not only be something strict to a summer experience but really pushes to help dedicated and outstanding people to get the AI careers which is a very competitive field.
